Cinema Culinair
Als je ogen nou précies even groot zijn als je maag mag je deze twee weken in het Keilepand niet mislopen. Cinema Culinair is dan namelijk weer terug in de Keilezaal en de tafels worden al gedekt!
Cinema Culinair creëert door hun interessante filmselectie altijd weer een divers smaakpalet en met meesterwerken zoals Chef, Ratatouille, en The Menu ziet de menukaart er ook dit keer weer fantastisch uit! Met als extraatje het Rotterdamse succesnummer De Marathon en nieuwkomer Grease. En of dat niet genoeg is staat er óók nog een verrassingsfilm op het menu! Hou de socials en website dus in de gaten! Chef: 10 en 11 april
Chef (Favreau, 2014) is een culinaire komedie over topkok Carl Casper die leeft voor zijn werk. Als hij door een restaurantcriticus wordt afgebrand, uit hij zijn frustratie op Twitter. Hij beseft niet dat iedereen zijn reactie kan lezen, waarna een mediarel volgt. Zijn ex-vrouw tipt hem een foodtruck aan te schaffen en terug te keren naar de basis: eerlijk en lekker eten waar mensen blij van worden. Met zijn zoontje en een oud-collega reist hij door de zuidelijke staten van Amerika en hervindt hij zijn plezier in koken.

De Marathon: 11 april
De Marathon (2012) is een hartverwarmende komedie over vier vrienden die hun garage dreigen te verliezen. Wanneer de schulden zich opstapelen, besluiten ze de Rotterdam Marathon te lopen om sponsorgeld in te zamelen. Deze film zit vol humor, tegenslagen en onvergetelijke momenten, maar bovenal ontdekken ze de kracht van vriendschap.

Grease: 12 april
Grease (Kleiser, 1978) is de ultieme feelgood musical vol haarlak, hotrods en hartenpijn. In de zomer van 1959 beleven Danny en Sandy een zinderende zomerliefde – maar alles verandert als ze elkaar onverwacht terugzien op Rydell Highschool. Terwijl Danny zijn stoere imago probeert hoog te houden en Sandy haar plek zoekt tussen de Pink Ladies, barst het verhaal los in swingende songs, dansscènes en onvergetelijke stijl. Met klassiekers als “Summer Nights”, “Greased Lightnin’” en “You’re the One That I Want” is Grease een explosie van nostalgie, energie en romantiek. The Menu: 17 april
The Menu (Mark Mylod, 2022) is dus eigenlijk een komedie met een maatschappijkritisch randje waarin horror, humor en spanning worden afgewisseld met fantastisch eten. Het verhaal speelt zich af in een peperduur restaurant op een afgelegen eiland, waar 14 gasten de food-beleving van hun leven gaan meemaken. We volgen met name Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy), de partner van foodie Tyler, die haar op het laatste moment uitnodigt voor dit exclusieve diner. Chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) kookt obsessief met lokale ingrediënten en maakt originele gerechten. Het menu bouwt langzaam op van raadselachtig via bizar naar een persoonlijke afrekening aan het adres van alle snobistische gasten. Deze heerlijk absurde film bekritiseert de moderne haute cuisine en hun bezoekers, onder leiding van de intens-enge Ralph Fiennes als chef de cuisine. Een culinaire beleving is haast een understatement. Komt dat zien en proeven!

Ratatouille: 18 april
Ratatouille (2007) is een Pixar animatiefilm voor jong en oud en is dé culinaire animatiefilm aller tijden. Remy is een rat met smaak en culinair talent, die per toeval terecht komt in de keuken van chefkok Gusteau. Aldaar maakt hij vrienden met keukenhulp Linguini. De film kreeg 65 prijzen en bruist van energie, romantiek, humor en, belangrijk: lekker en authentiek Frans eten waar we een selectie van presenteren. Ratatouille wil je niet alleen zien, die moet je proeven.
