“And hope it survives the night xd” is a group exhibition featuring works by young artists based in the Netherlands, curated by Iivari Mikkonen and Jan Ryt. The exhibition centers on the theme of fleeting experiences.

It is presented in the space of Export, an underground club with a 24-hour license — a venue for shared experiences — during Rotterdam Art Week 2026 (26–29 March).

The works included in the exhibition approach the notion of experience from different perspectives, both personal and communal. Together they form a constellation of time–space relations that shape experience, while also considering the societal conditions under which contemporary experiences are formed.

The exhibition is further contextualized by “Who reads at the club?”, a zine produced for the exhibition that highlights the connections between the works on view.

“And hope it survives the night xd” is een groepstentoonstelling met werk van jonge, in Nederland gevestigde kunstenaars, gecureerd door Iivari Mikkonen en Jan Ryt. De tentoonstelling draait rond het thema van vluchtige ervaringen.

De tentoonstelling vindt plaats in de ruimte van Export, een ondergrondse club met een 24-uursvergunning — een plek voor gedeelde ervaringen — tijdens Rotterdam Art Week 2026 (26–29 maart).

De werken in de tentoonstelling benaderen het begrip ervaring vanuit verschillende perspectieven, zowel persoonlijk als collectief. Samen vormen ze een constellatie van tijd- en ruimterelaties die ervaringen vormgeven, waarbij ook aandacht wordt besteed aan de maatschappelijke omstandigheden waarbinnen hedendaagse ervaringen ontstaan.

De tentoonstelling wordt verder gekaderd door “Who reads at the club?”, een zine die speciaal voor de tentoonstelling is geproduceerd en de onderlinge verbanden tussen de gepresenteerde werken belicht.
